Glebe Barn is on the road (B6160) out of Burnsall towards Grassington. From the centre of the village, follow the main road past the front of the Red Lion, round a narrow right hand bend and a further left hand bend, uphill past the school, church and village hall. Glebe Barn is on the right hand side of the road next to the village hall. There is a driveway with wooden farm gate with access to off-road parking behind the property. If approaching from Grassington/Linton (see below), Glebe Barn is on the left hand side as you come into Burnsall, immediately before the village hall and church.
For access from the Dales Way, follow the riverside footpath to the back of the church and take the footpath/track up the side of the cottage by the churchyard to the road, turn right and we are 20 yards up the road. Alternatively, leave the Dales Way by Burnsall bridge and walk up the road through the village.
By RoadFrom Harrogate - take A59 to Bolton Abbey; turn right at roundabout (B6160) at foot of Beamsley Hill, pass the Devonshire Arms and follow the B6160 to Burnsall.
From Leeds - A660 out of the city (University/Bramhope/Otley bypass) then A65 through Ilkley; take right turn to Addingham village, immediately right again to Burnsall/Bolton Abbey) and right at T junction. At Bolton Abbey roundabout, go straight across on B6160 to Burnsall.
Either Leeds or Harrogate route is suitable for visitors using M1; Leeds should be avoided at busy times and the Harrogate route, although longer, is preferable at peak times - stay on M1 (east Leeds link road) to A1/North. If using A1, follow signs to Harrogate (A661 Wetherby/Spofforth) and Skipton (A59).
From Manchester - take M66/A56/M65 to Colne. From Colne follow A56/A59 towards Skipton. Ignore all signs to Skipton centre, following A59 Skipton by-pass, and take B6265 towards Grassington. Pass through Cracoe village and, immediately after large quarry on left, take right fork to Linton/Burnsall (marked also by Fountaine Inn sign). Pass through Linton to small cross roads; turn right on B6160 to Burnsall.
From west or south west (M6), stay on M6 to either A59 or M65 (depending on preference). M65 route through Colne meets A59 just west of Skipton; then B6265 and Linton as above.
From north west - A65 via Settle bypass/Gargrave to A59 then follow B6265 Linton route as above.
From north east - A1 - Ripon then B6265 through Pateley Bridge, over Greenhow. Ignore first signpost to Burnsall/Appletreewick. Pass Grimwith reservoir on right, drop down to Devils Bridge and climb up towards Grassington. Take next signposted turning to Burnsall, which leads to steep downhill to T-junction. Turn right and approach Burnsall over bridge to Red Lion.
